1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the Khaolak Counsel website (the "site") and describe the basis on which the firm receives and responds to field inquiries submitted through it. By accessing the site or submitting an inquiry, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms.

These terms do not constitute or replace the engagement letter that governs the legal services relationship where work is undertaken. The terms of any specific engagement are set out in writing separately before work commences.

2. Use of This Website

4. No Lawyer-Client Relationship

A lawyer-client relationship between you and Khaolak Counsel arises only upon the execution of a written engagement letter agreed by both parties. The receipt and acknowledgement of an inquiry, or any preliminary exchange of correspondence, does not establish such a relationship.

Until a formal engagement is agreed, you should not take, or refrain from taking, any action on the basis of information or impressions gained from the site or from preliminary correspondence with the firm. The firm is not responsible for any consequences arising from reliance on preliminary communications that have not been confirmed as formal legal advice in writing.

5. Conflict of Interest

Before accepting any engagement, the firm conducts a conflict-of-interest check. If a conflict is identified, the firm will decline the inquiry and notify you promptly. The submission of an inquiry does not obligate the firm to proceed if a conflict or other professional consideration prevents it from doing so.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this site — including text, structure, presentation, and the firm's name and identifying material — is the property of Khaolak Counsel or its licensors. Nothing on this site grants any right to use the firm's name, marks, or content other than as permitted by these terms.

You may link to pages on this site for non-commercial informational purposes without prior permission, provided the link is not presented in a manner that suggests endorsement or association where none exists.

9. Fees and Payment

Published service fees on this site are indicative and stated in Thai Baht. They apply to the scope of service as described. The fee confirmed in a written engagement letter governs any specific matter. The firm does not commence work until the engagement letter has been accepted and any applicable upfront payment has been received.

Work outside the agreed scope is not covered by the published fee and will be discussed and priced separately before proceeding.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or use of this site that cannot be resolved amicably will be referred to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.

Where a separate engagement letter is in place, the governing law and dispute resolution provisions of that letter will govern the legal services relationship rather than these terms.

11. Amendments

These terms may be updated from time to time. The date shown at the top of this page reflects when the terms were last revised. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Where material changes are made, notice will be given on the site.
